The Purchasing Manager develops, implements and maintains strategies which continuously improve procurement and supply chain effectiveness and generate value
The Purchasing Manager is effectively forecasting, planning and awarding contracts and that deliver real value within the Category
Identification and challenging practices and procedures, both internally and within the supply chain, that are wasteful or inhibit value

Demonstrate competence in:
Detailed knowledge of all current forms of Sub-Contract and Contract procedures and will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills along with the ability to work within a team.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business needs
Procurement processes and systems.
Communication and networking skills
Quickly establishing rapport with internal customers and suppliers
Preparing requests for tender, analysing and evaluating tenders and recommendations to purchase
Experience and track record for successful delivery within complex categories preferably within a Capital Construction arena
Highly computer literate
Excellent presentation production skills
Construction, water industry or other major industrial background
Experience in delivering results in a fast paced environment
MEICA procurement experience for Water and Wastewater projects
