Mechanical/Plumbing Maintenance Technician
Hourly Rate: £19.61 Ltd Company Basis
Duration: 3 months + (temp to perm possible for right candidate)
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexibility is required) + a Call Out Rotation

They offer Integrated Facilities Management to a wide variety of customers, providing a complete range of services for site maintenance and production support.
Where you’ll work: You will be working for one of their clients who are a multinational chemicals and biotechnology company who provide product development services to the pharmaceutical and biologic industries.
Duties: The equipment to be maintained includes, but is not limited to, plumbing pipework and systems, domestic water systems, water treatment plant and LTHW boiler systems.
Responsible for planned and breakdown maintenance activities on a wide variety of mechanical apparatus including but not limited to plumbing fixtures and pipework, domestic water systems, water treatment plant, LTHW boiler systems
Responsible for ongoing Legionella testing regime
Report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing modifications & plant improvements where appropriate.
Liaise with and support other Company staff such as the maintenance and operations departments.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality and Environmental Management System and Health and Safety Policies.
After a period of training and familiarisation, be available on call for out of hours plant technical and breakdown cover.
Essential: A recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) with detailed knowledge of all aspects of plumbing maintenance techniques.
Experience gained in a continuous process industry
Computer literacy and ability to train in computerised maintenance systems.
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimum supervision.
Effective team-working and communication skills.
Flexibility, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
Ability to be contacted, and attend site, outside normal hours when required.
Desirable: Experience and knowledge of industrial boiler systems (LTHW)
Experience and knowledge of BMS systems
Experience with electrical systems would be beneficial
