The Role:

Working within a Framework JV made up of seven partner companies and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

The framework is heading into its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP7 which will deliver a £1.8bn programme of work over the next five years.

Undertaking circa 800 projects across the region requires teams to collaborate and work towards common objectives to deliver the best service possible to clients.

To further enhance engineering performance and to deliver the most innovative water and water recycling projects across the region, our Client is looking for an Engineering Data Coordinator to play a central role in driving their digital transformation and linking key data and information across their teams.

Data analytics is at the heart of this transformation.

To maintain the pace of that transformation, our Client is seeking an Engineering Data Coordinator to support the engineering innovation team. You will define, develop and manage the engineering data architecture, whilst exploring other areas of efficiency and opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

Gather engineering data for each discipline and map this

Create an engineering data architecture and align with their client’s data architecture

Work collaboratively with their client’s teams, including the Digital Team, to ensure data is consistent, understood and embedded in the CAD/BIM model production process

Work with the client to ensure future, effective and efficient alignment of engineering data structures

Train the engineering teams on the defined data structures

Proactively engage with key stakeholders to ensure updates and key messages regarding engineering data architecture is shared

Identify efficiencies with the engineering data architecture and support the engineering team to identify insights.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

A Degree, or Level 5 qualification or higher, preferably in Engineering

PostgreSQL database management

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Water and/or wastewater design experience would be an advantage but not essential

Position: CAD Technician

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a significant proportion of Anglian Water’s AMP7 programme of clean and wastewater non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects throughout the Anglia region. They are looking for a number of CAD Technicians with either mechanical or civil experience and who have a good understanding of Autodesk Revit.

You will report directly to the Engineering Lead and the responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations.
  • Manage CAD workload.
  • Acts as Digital Delivery Champion.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Coordinating design outputs across all technical disciplines.
  • Raising and resolution of technical queries.

About the Candidate:

Commercial Manager

They are recruiting Project Engineers who can lead these projects from inception to completion.

You will be delivering, supported by the Head of Engineering & Delivery and the Technical Manager, project tasks, designs and working with the internal team and process contractors/suppliers at various stages in the project life cycle, to deliver projects to specification, within agreed time frames and budget. Each project is valued at £25m with an estimated construction period of 9-12 months followed by extensive commissioning.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Outline and lead engineering on the projects from inception to completion of schemes
  • The timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget
  • Chair and attend internal and external review and progress meetings
  • Active participant in Collaborative Planning
  • Chair and attend engineering site visits/meetings
  • Ascertain preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions
  • Prepare technical specifications and documents
  • Complete contract documentation and manage the supply chain through the procurement, engineering, implementation, commissioning and handover phase

  • Have a Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering or similar
  • Experience in Anaerobic Digestion, biogas/biomethane, liquid organic waste management and biomethane injection would be beneficial.
  • Understand anaerobic digestion and sludge. Production of process calculations, Process flow diagrams and developing specifications. Been involved in process reviews such as HAZOPs and ALM’s
  • Understanding regulations and guidance for CNG, Biomethane, CO2 capture, DSEAR regulations and Biogas/biomethane technologies. Production of process calculations, Process flow diagrams and developing specifications.
  • Experience in development of new and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on working effectively in cross-functional teams at all levels of the company.

Introduction:

Our client is developing and building multiple multi-year Contracts and Projects in the UK and they are looking for skilled people to deliver on these fantastic opportunities in Anaerobic Digestion and Biomethane. They are recruiting for Client Site Representatives who will play an important part in keeping their construction sites running at their highest potential, acting as the key site interface between them and the Principal Contractor in addition to managing the activities of 4-5 specialist subcontractors. Each project is valued at roughly £25m with an estimated construction period of 9-12 months followed by extensive commissioning.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • You’ll supervise the site at a project level, making sure the Principal Contractor complies with program, contract, cost, quality and SHEQ requirements.
  • You will ensure that the Principal Contractor is pro-actively discharging their duties under the Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations, that regular site safety walks are carried out, site access is being effectively controlled and that all applicable technical specifications are being met.
  • Ensure all construction activities are provided in compliance with the scheme deliverables, drive a culture of zero accidents and zero defects to meet the delivery milestones to provide the best service.

Our client is a large engineering Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Thames Water and they are recruiting for a M&E Project Manager to successfully deliver a programme of work throughout the Thames Valley region.

In this role you will be delivering 3-4 projects simultaneously with average values of £500k and up to £1 million. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
  • Creation of the appropriate Project Initiation Document (PID), setting success criteria in line with Business objectives. Tracking, managing & updating throughout the project lifecycle
  • Produce the programme of works, risk register and assumptions for baseline at the start of the project and gain approval from the Regional Manager

  • Create, manage and update project programmes, ensuring compliance with the contract type whilst maintaining its effectiveness as a planning tool
  • Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Accept and manage issues escalated from site personnel and Project Engineers
  • Work within a monthly project reporting structure, responsible for receiving & providing accurate project dashboard information for review, discussion and action
  • Manage performance, measuring delivery milestones, quality outputs, programme variance and contribution to the business core values
  • Liaison with procurement to ensure effective management of long lead items taking into consideration contract payment terms as well as committed costs, accruals and project / business cashflow
  • Monitor, review and ensure effective change management
  • Line Manage staff and their professional development
  • Responsible for updating site documentation and adhering to agreed systems and processes
  • Effectively manage the O&M outputs of the projects and to programme deadlines
  • Finish and close out projects to programme

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Appropriate Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Excellent client engagement and communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
  • SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely
  • APM – Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or willingness to achieve
  • Computer literate
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes with experience or knowledge of planning software packages such as Microsoft Project / P6
