Position: Sales Engineer/Manager
Salary Guide: £35-45k (negotiable dependent upon experience) plus car allowance and bonus
Our Client: Is an independent company which delivers effective fully engineered odour and air pollution control solutions for clients operating in the water, waste and recycling sectors as well as food and beverage and process industries.
Their focus is on creating long-term client relationships based on partnership, innovation, collaboration and trust.
The Role: Provide the lead sales and marketing function for our client.
Develop and update on a regular basis the company’s Business Plan & Sales Strategy on a regular basis.
Develop and increase customer awareness of our client’s capabilities.
Secure sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
Accountable for the preparation of accurate cost estimates.
Production of tender documents and supporting information in conjunction with the Technical Director and proposals team.
Liaise with all clients.
Carry out, facilitate and assist with technical presentations.
Responsibilities: Develop the applications of our client’s technologies.
Liaise with other Company functions as required.
Produce and control all necessary administration associated with the position. Produce monthly sales reports and regular client meeting reports.
Maximise sales and profit for the Company.
Play a fundamental role in developing future growth and provide vision and sales direction.
Develop marketing strategy, tactics, sales plans, sales forecasts and profit targets. Deliver sales by developing relationships with key clients.
Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
Increase market share in existing markets and maximise new business development opportunities.
Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth.
Manage and update website and digital marketing activities in conjunction with a marketing consultancy.
Identify routes to market.
Attend networking events.
Review and monitor competition in the market-place.
Identify new markets and products.
Look for funding to assist R&D works.
Formal sales and marketing qualification would be beneficial but is not essential, a proven sales record is important
Proven track record in a sales environment, ideally within a technical/sales sector
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, odour control, process industries or engineering would be beneficial but is not essential
Genuine enthusiasm and motivation and a desire to succeed is essential
Computer literate including Excel
Flexibility to travel to customer meetings and sites as required.
