Position: Senior Contract Manager

Location: Teesside

Salary: c.£50k, car allowance, up to 20% bonus and excellent benefits package

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role: This position is well suited to an individual that is solutions focused and excels in stakeholder management. You will manage and develop the contracts within the region, ensuring they meet both service delivery and budgetary targets.

Responsibilities: Ensuring your direct reports are managing HS&E and have a key focus on our people.

Maintaining current Contract health reviews with actions to improve contract delivery.

Building relationships with customers with a view to extend contracts, expand the scope of work and sell other services to customers.

Utilising Company support functions to assist with developing and executing improvement plans.

Working with direct reports to understand their P&Ls and to track performance.

Keep forecasts up to date and develop mitigation plans when forecasts indicate below target performance.

Preparing annual budgets and F1/2 forecasts and assisting with presenting to Senior Management.

Understanding contracts to ensure full commercial value.

Assisting with succession planning for the area, including mentoring graduates.

Developing training and development plans and ensuring teams are motivated.

Working with the Business Development teams to establish new business and contracts across Tyneside and Teesside.

Experience: Experience and track record of delivering Total Waste Management, sustainability or circular economy services as a Contract Manager or similar.

Proven track record in developing customer relationships, contract retention, and growth in a diverse portfolio of contracts.

Experience in Operational management and managing teams for high performance.

H&S Qualification (IOSH) NEBOSH.

Qualification in environmental, sustainability or technical qualification.

Commercial and contractual experience and track record.

Detailed industry knowledge and professional networks across the North East of England.
