Position: Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyors
Location: Rickmansworh with agile working
Salary: £55-75k (negotiable DOE), car/allowance, bonus and excellent benefits package
The Role: Our Client is looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a number of Senior and Managing Quantity Surveyors for their Thames Water framework. Based at one of their offices within Thames Water’s London Area, you will provide commercial support and leadership to projects/contracts and ensure that commercial discipline is maintained throughout the framework duration.
Responsibilities: You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and the responsibilities will include:
Manage a team of Quantity Surveyors of various levels
Ensure contract financial transactions are completed on time and in accordance with contract terms and legislation.
Report to the Commercial Manager & Framework Director on commercial performance & process, procurement issues and report any areas of concern or opportunity
Ensure all claims and disputes are resolved in an amicable and timely fashion making sure that subcontractor and supplier payments are expedited.
Provide accurate and up to date commercial information to the Senior Leadership Team on a monthly basis
Identifying contractual risks for management throughout the contract
Financial Reporting – weekly and monthly reviews and cost control / forecasting.
Monitor and maintain positive cash position for the projects.
Ensure project teams are administering subcontracts and client contracts in accordance with the terms and conditions within
Final account, preparation, audit & agreement
Skills/Experience: A comprehensive level of commercial experience preferably with a contracting organisation.
BSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or other equivalent construction related subject
Preferably chartered
IChemE or NEC Contract experience
Major high value projects experience
Preferably previous water/construction experience
